A New Yorker with a doctorate in public policy, Elle Wang is the founder and CEO of Emilia George®, a new line of high-end, sustainable maternity workwear for professional women.
As a UN adviser and strategist, Elle realized during her pregnancy, there was a lack of well-made maternity business attire. She wanted to continue to wear clothing that was functional yet crisply styled, comfortable, and eco-friendly. She reached out to other professional women she knew, from New York to Europe, to Shanghai, and they shared the same concerns. From this collective conversation, Emilia George® was born.
The line’s focus on recycled and eco-friendly fabrics is something that Elle is deeply passionate about. She is the founder of the Fabrics Matter Movement. After realizing that her son was allergic to the harsh dyes in her postpartum wardrobe, Elle sought alternate fabric options. She sees fabric as an important piece to keep mothers and children safe and give back to the environment.
With the launch of Emilia George®, moms-to-be now have the option of wearing safe and stylish maternity wear; smoothly transitioning them through all the stages of pregnancy and motherhood.
